And now for a REALLY basic question:
I’m trying to download the latest Flash player.
I go to what looks like the appropriate Adobe page (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/), and there’s an “Install Now” link, which I click. But apparently it’s a deceptive link, since it just goes to a page full of Adobe ads hawking subscriptions to rent various Adobe products. There's an "Adobe Flash Player" link on that page under "Downloads," but it just leads back to the previous page. (Thanks, Adobe.)
Anybody know how to get past the cheezy shilling to the actual download?
That is the correct link and it works fine for me without any redirects. can you check this again?
I think I solved the mystery. I discovered that I already have the upgrade.
Apparently the blatantly dishonest redirects are Adobe's way of telling me
this, instead of saying something useful and direct (to appropriate your
euphemism) such as "You already have the upgrade."
