If you have Windows 8 and you're using IE, you DO have it already. It's embedded in IE by Microsoft, and you can't... update, download or repair it here.
You MUST use Windows Update to update your Flash Player.
However, if you're using Internet Epxloder 11, then your problems aren't Flash Player, but the intentionally screwed up "User-Agent Strings" that Microsoft put in IE11. Sites can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using a different browser. Trouble with that is... it's seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.
I am having the same problem Jebarry89. A couple of sites (BBC news and Truprint) have said I need to download an updated version of Flash Player. So, I did that. I have even been to the Adobe 'check your download' link and Adobe says I have successfully installed the latest version. but I still can't watch/do anything? I am also having issues with my Shockwave Flash plug-in which I keep getting 'Shockwave flash has crashed' messages for. I have the latest version downloaded of that too.
I have never had any issues with Adobe before but this is soooooo frustrating as I cannot work out what is going on? I am using Firefox as my browser
Can anyone help?
