Missing image after reloading original file

    EselJaye Community Member

Due to consolidating space on my hard drive I changed the location of the orginaly linked files (MXF footage). Having relinked in both Pr and Ae (CS6 latest updates as of posting date) to the new file location all looks good until I try to view the horizontally flipped clip in the sequence. If I look at the footage on Ae its all there, every frame. In the effects for the clip the opacity is as it should be -100%- but there is no image. I see the background footage (working with green screen foreground -hence the Ae project using Keylight plug-in). The non flipped footage from the exact same Ae file is as clear as day. Any suggestions?

      Thanks in advance.

Where is the clip reversed, in PP or AE?

It's flipped in Pr. I was able to partially solve the problem by adding another clip to the footage in Ae, save, open Pr and the Ae project was conformed. I think this is more of a work around than an actual solve.

Another issue however is when opening the Pr project in CC (after saving both the Ae and Pr projects in CS6) The Ae footage is replaced with color bars. This continues even after converting and relinking /reimporting the original footage in Ae CC and yes I can see the original footage in Ae CC.

Seems like a lot of work to simply open the projects from one version to the "latest" version, one would think it would be a lot easier.

I'm not even going to bring up the problems with SpeedGrade CC. it can't open MP4 files? But I'm not mentioning that.
