    New Workstation Setup

      Hey guys,

I'm planning to build/upgrade to a new workstation and just wanted to have some input, especially regarding the GPU.

Working hours with PR AE PS LR is quite balanced.

Setup at the moment (considering a pricerange of aproximately 1100€) , would be the following:

      Windows 7 Pro

      Adobe CC

      Intel Xeon E3 1245 v3 + Alpenföhn Brocken 2

      Gigabyte GA-Z87-UD5H

      32 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 4x8GB 1600MHz CL9

      Power Supply:
      BE-QUIET! Pure Power L8 730W CM

      Nvidia Geforce 660 Ti 2GB

Nvidia Geforce760 2GB/4GB (does GPU ram really make a difference for videoediting or is it just marketing?)

      Nvidia Geforce770 2GB/4GB

250GB SSD Samsung 840 for System

      250GB SSD Samsung 840 Pro for Media-Cache / VRAM

1TB Common Data (bckp to ext HDD 1)

1TB Projectfiles (bckp to ext HDD 1)

4TB RAID0 (via Mainboard) Videofiles (bckp to ext HDD 2)

2TB  Workfiles (Audiofiles, prebuild fx, Libraries etc.) (bckp to ext HDD 3)

      2TB Renderfiles

2TB Photos (bckp to ext HDD 3)

Drives for RAID 0, Workfiles and Renderfiles are placed in a backplane case with individual powerswitches to save Disklife while I'm not working.

It would be nice to get some suggestions for this setup.

Thanks & Have a good day!
