    Mask Expansion crash!

    mcha86

Any work around for this, AE crashes if my masks' expansion is anything but 0

I really need the expansion on the mask, seems like a massive bug!

Using AE CC 12.2.1.5, OSX 10.9.1

Set your comp viewer to Final Quality and see if it makes any difference. Also try this with another type of footage, e.g. a simple image instead of a specific video clip. This could be soem CoDec or hardware acceleration issue, after all. if not, posting the crash log might reveal something.

The mask is on  a solid so don't think its a codec issue, i'll try turning off OpenGL. Weirdly the crash message is different everytime!

Don't make too much of it if it is different. The "tick" count doesn't really matter. that's merely internal info that Adobe would receive if you have enabled sending bug reports. The variablity may in fact point even provide a rational explanation, after all - something is filling up, be it the graphics card's memory or your caches, so depending on which operations you do beforehand, the count would be different.
