    Error 150:30

    D. Rice Level 1

I cannot start a new project in Premier Elements 8 because of an Error 150:30.  What do I do now?

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 8.0/8.0.1 running on? Assuming some version of Windows...

Most of the older threads that report a Premiere Elements "150:30" appear to direct the user to a Licensing issue.

Are getting any other error message besides "150.30"?

Please review the Adobe document and then let us know if any of that worked for you.

          Thanks.

Wrong forum message http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1409044?tstart=0 has the same error... with Mavericks and PE8

I think I see a trend... Mavericks kills Premiere Elements 8

Could you please explain what you are saying?

This user who posted this thread has Premiere Elements 8 which is on WIndows. Premiere Elements 8 is not supported on a Mac computer, never was.  Mac support for Premiere Elements did not come until version 9.0/9.0.1.

The link that you reference with regard to 150:30 goes to Photoshop Elements 8 and Mac. Nothing to do with Premiere Elements 8 and Windows, except that  Error150:30 might be a generalized error for Licensing Problems.

In view of all that, where is

I think I see a trend... Mavericks kills Premiere Elements 8

coming from? You can't kill something that will not go on a Mac computer in the first place.

What am I missing in the reading your message?

              Thanks.

                Oops! My Bad!! Wrong Program!!!

But, still for version 8 it MAY be something to do with the operating system version

That’s the  only error I’ve gotten.  Haven’t had time to try the site you sent.  I’ve give it a shot tomorrow and will let you know.  Many thanks.

Sorry to be so long in getting back to you.  It finally dawned on me that I had not yet tried uninstalling and reinstalling.  Once I did that I seem to be back in business.  If it fails again I’ll get back to  you.  Thanks for being there and ready to help.
