Did AE ever work? If it did what changed? I'm guessing you installed some 3rd party video app or codec.
What Rick said. You messed up your system's Codecs. A reinstall may fix it, but then again it might not unless you remove whatever CoDec introduced the issue.
This error occurred immediately after inital install of CS6. No other codec installs by myself. Ae does load and work after cancelling error msg. Will display error message after each new Ae start. But program does function. Windows 7. 16G mem, Intel I7, 250G SSD, NVidia G570.

The error message is telling you that there are problematic Cineform components---third-party decoders for Cineform---and it's telling you to reinstall them.
Did you do what the error message says?
You say that you didn't install any codecs, but the error message indicates otherwise.
I had the same problem. Also reinstalling of After Effects didn't solve the problem.
Once I deinstalled GoPro Studio the problem was solved.
Hope this helps you too.
Good luck, Urs
I have the same error (after installing gopro studio). Uninstalled it, and still having the issue.
Same error here. Started after installing GoPro Studio 2. Uninstall didn't help.
I restored the hard drive from a recent image (made before the gopro studio install). The error was gone. So i checked the "C:/Program Files/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/CS6/MeidaCore/" and it is empty.
Try just deleting the CineForm folder with the plugins. It is placed there during the GoPro studio installation and not removed during the uninstall. By my logic it should fix the problem.
fakehoos tip helped me too! Thank you. Any one know of a good slow motion plugin for gopro footage or any other high fps. Something that is affordable or free is even better!
I'm a little late to this string but just noticed I have the same error message on my CS5.5. I did install the GoPro studo last year but just noticed the error today.
Error msg in Ae as follows: "Failed to load, reinstall these plugins:
I did not remove the GoPro studio because I use it more then AE and AE still seems to work ok although I don't impurt AVI or MOV files into AE. This might be a problem if I start working with files from my Cannon 5D.
WHy can't we just down load the missing files from Adobe and re-install?
