I currently make a weekly inhouse magazine that features a multitude of PDFs, which in every edition of the magazine. They are added, removed and reordered, and so, on a regular basis they can easily become out of order and messy.
I'm looking for a way to import multiple PDFs into the magazine, have them snap to a grid and automatically ordered? Preferably by filename. This way when one PDF is deleted, the below stay in order and move up to fill the appropriate space.
This is a big ask and I'm not even sure if this action exists, but I'm happy to receive any tips as this magazine usually takes a few too many hours to create and I'm looking for a seamless and far less time consuming way to create it.
I'm working with Indesign CS5 on a Mac.
To move imported images up automatically, when one is deleted, you have to make of them anchored objects.
