I am unable to successfully download Flash Player on Windows Vista Home Premium. I.E.9.
Flash Player only installs in Control panel (6mb), nothing on the desk top! I have uninstalled
and re installed several times with same result. When trying to use program message reads:
flash player not installed. PLEASE HELP!

It's a "plug-in" and not an application. You'll never see it on your desktop, in your Program Files, or in your Start menu.
What you see in the Control Panel, isn't even the plug-in, it's the Global Settings Manager.
Look in C/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash and if you have a 64 bit system, C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash
You'll see the Flash Player plug-ins and supporting files there.
See: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448 to make sure it's enabled.
