Flash12 error: "Unable to proceed..."

I am trying to install Flash 12 on a Mac running OS 10.9.1

Main browser Firefox.

I've tried several times this year but always get the same error. The progress bar on the installer stops and the error message: "Error: Unable to proceed with the installation"

Today I tried a clean install. Downloade the uninstaller, removed Flash, restarted computer, and then ran installer. Same result.
