Hello, in your screenshot, the first tab in the background has no profile that's what (#) means in the title of the tab, untitled one and two have the same profile as the working space (which tab is visible?), while the one in the foreground as a different profile than the working space that's what (*) means in the title bar.
So, that tells me they do not have the same profile.
Also, is there noise or very small textures in the circles? You might want to look at them all with the same magnification.
Finally, a smart object can be of a different color space than the document that holds it.
This is helpful. Thank you. How do I tell what the profile or working space is?
I don't think it has to do with smart object or magnification as I have seen this problem before with regular graphics.
It's also not a smart object any more. I rasterized it.
Just in case any fellows come across this post like I did, if the image you are pulling the pattern from is not set to the same Color Profile (found under Edit>Assign Profile). In my case, the images I use from the camera and save were set to RGB (1998) and the ones pulled in my new file were RGB ########### (don't remember the numbers). Switched profile to match the image I took the pattern from and it solves the issue.
