    fonts

    Level 7
      Hi,
I am creating a site voluntarily for my local hospital and have come across
      a problem with fonts.
Their logo has two fonts (stone sans) which are only avaiable commercially
and I cannot get close enough on my pc.
It may be possible to get the original graphic...when opening it, might
Fireworks be able to 'maintain the look'.
I have never really understood what this function does.
      thank you
      lawrie

          lawrie,

It means that when you import an image into FW and you do not have the
fonts available, FW will give you the option of maintaining the look of
the original font. Since you do not have the font installed on your
computer you will not be able to edit text created with that font.
FW rasterizes that text for you. It converts the text to a bitmap image.
