Reading ObjectGUID from Active Directory (CFLDAP)

Here is the issue. I have to maintain the objectguid of users in active directory locally in my database. I doa cfldap and get the objectguid, but then I have no clue what's happening. How can I get it to show as it shows in active directory administrators (hex format) instead of all that garbled up characters? How can I convert it into atleast a legible format?
I would later need to do a user objectguid comparison between the value in my db and the active directory, so as to decide if theuser is an old user. I can not assume any other unique attributes. I have to use objectguid. What is the workaround for that garbage?
