gener7 Feb 23, 2014 11:02 AM (in response to jlua001)Quit the CC Desktop app and restart it. Quit is in the gear icon menu in the upper right.

3. Re: CC Desktop app. doesn´t see that a new PS CC version is available
Trevor.Dennis Feb 23, 2014 11:54 AM (in response to jlua001)Is the Desktop App up to date? Mine shows as 1.4.1.351
It also shows that it updated PSA to 14.2.1 four days ago, so something is amiss with your system. One of the things that was getting people into trouble, was having different information in the Desktop app to the apps them selves. Specifically the langauge setting. That sounds odd, but if you had English International with one, and English North American in the other, it didn't work. I guess that could only affect you if you have only recently installed Photoshop.

5. Re: CC Desktop app. doesn´t see that a new PS CC version is available
jlua001 Feb 23, 2014 1:02 PM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)Yes. My CC Desktop is also 1.4.1.351.
I did change the English "flavor" and it does change the display of installed apps. (it does chage the apps. listing, e.g.: PS CS6 shows up, and PS CC disappears...). I am a little familiar with that strange language issue, because I run into it a couple of months ago. And I did try once again logiing off and re-logging in, and there continues to be no trace of the new PS CC version.
I would want to avoid having to contact Adobe tech. support, because a couple of months ago, they looged onto my computer and they created such a mess (neither Lightroom nor PS CC would install correctly at all), that it took me like one month to get back into business!

6. Re: CC Desktop app. doesn´t see that a new PS CC version is available
jlua001 Feb 23, 2014 1:03 PM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)I may have to try that as a last resort, even though I am a little hesitant if it may mess up and confuse -even more- my CC Desktop app...

7. Re: CC Desktop app. doesn´t see that a new PS CC version is available
Trevor.Dennis Feb 23, 2014 1:41 PM (in response to jlua001)Sounds like you need to sync the language settings between apps and Desktop Manager. Last time I looked into that, I had trouble finding how to do it with the apps, and can't remember how to do it.

9. Re: CC Desktop app. doesn´t see that a new PS CC version is available
jlua001 Feb 24, 2014 4:08 AM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)The list of installed apps. on CC Desktop was different depending on whether the Language was set to "English-North America" or "English-International". Here is what I did:
- Since Photoshop CC was listed only when "English-International" was selected, and that is the primary app. that I rather leave alone, I uninstalled the two apps. that we showing when "English-North America" was selected: Bridge CC and Lightroom 5. I logged off and back on to my CC account.
- Then, on the CC Desktop app., I set Language to "English-Intenational", and re-installed Bridge CC and Lightroom 5. Now, no apps. are listed when "English-North America" is selected. Theyare all listed when "English-International" is selected.
Unfortunately, my Photoshop CC version continues to be Ver. 4.2, and neither CC Desktop nor Photoshop CC/Help/Updates detect that there is a Ver. 4.2.1 pending.
I am stuck, because I hesitate to install the update from the ProdesignTools site, in case I mess up CC Destop even more than it is now. And I also hesitate to contact Adobe tech. support, because of the mess they created a couple of months ago on my computer when I again had problems with CC Desktop. It took one month to clear up the problems, which I won´t go into here.
