You cannot. And EXE will only run on Windows. We no longer have copies of Photoshop 7 available (it was released more than 10 years ago). Also, your serial number for Photoshop is only good for Windows, it would not work on Mac even if you were to find someone else to provide you with a disk.
Yes I realise, that's why I asked about finding a .dmg format. That's a shame, guess I'll have to keep using my old computer a bit longer then.
Believe CS2? was the first version written for a mac?
CS2 and below work best on the older PPC Macs, CS3 and above work better on the Intel Macs.
Thanks for that clarification. Being a PC-only guy, I could not recall when the break came for the Mac CPU's, and OS's.
As the first released version of Ps was ported only for the Mac (was that release 1.0, or 1.0.1?), and then not released for the PC, until version 2.5, I knew a little bit of the history, but you just filled in a big blank for me. That's the sort of stuff that I missed, back when the Ps Forum was split by platform - I never read the Mac side.
