1. Re: CS6 - Crop handles and bounderies does not go away
c.pfaffenbichler Feb 26, 2014 12:42 AM (in response to perrybrus)I'm forced to press Enter and then go to the move tool in the tool palette to deselect the whole thing.
Hitting V should achieve that without moving the cursor.
You could also hit cmd-H to just hide it.
If you are done with cropping why would you want to keep the Tool selected?

dianer_macperson Feb 26, 2014 5:22 AM (in response to perrybrus)Just switch to a different tool after cropping..
The crop tool behaves a little different from previous versions in that the handles remain visible while you are in the crop tool.

perrybrus Feb 26, 2014 1:13 PM (in response to dianer_macperson)Thanks for the input. Can't say I like the new crop tool, pressing enter should do it. I know most shortcuts to palette tools so I guess I'll have to go there straight after pressing enter to solve this from now on, but have no idea what the Adobe team was thinking of when changing this feature. It just creates an adiitional action from the user, and that's not logical.

perrybrus Feb 27, 2014 8:29 AM (in response to c.pfaffenbichler)In my book every change should be motivated by the wish to improve, if it's not then don't change it. The crop tool is a perfect example of a change that didn't generate any improvment. It just made it worse. Many times I wonder if Adobe developers read their own forum, cause alot of times the changes they do aren't well received by the users. Perhaps they should be more user orientated. After all, if the customers don't like it then why bother.
