Recently after updating After Effects CC on a computer in our studio, it keeps prompting to put in a password for Keychain Access. You essentially cannot use the application because it will ask you to put it in the second you try to do anything else. It also doesn't accept any passwords you put in. I have tried to current user, admin password, and even the root password because I couldn't think of anything else it could be.
I have already tried cleaning out the /Library/Keychain folder (I saved a copy of the contents, in case it didn't work). I have tried resetting Keychain. I'm not entirely sure what else I can do.
Users computer info:
2009 Mac Pro
Adobe After Effects CC v12.2
I would assume that this comes down to invalid security certificates/ app signatures. You can turn off checking for this stuff globally in the system settings somewhere. if you do a web search you should also be able to find info on how to fix the certificates properly.
I have had this happen with some 3rd party plug-ins. It could also be caused by a read write permissions problem in your Preferences files.
