    10 bit display

    Chase Chick Level 1

      Good morning all,

I have a Panasonic VT60 that I use as my monitor for my setup which I love for the accuracy of the colors.

My question is: should I enable 10 bit display in Photoshop, and would my monitor support this, and would I see any benefits?

My graphics card is the Nvidia MSI 760 with 4gb of vram.

      Thanks!

I have only 24 bit displays and yet I always configure my system to use Photoshop's 30 bit Display feature on the general principle that it can't make things less accurate.  With my setup I get a full 256 level gray gradient without dithering, so the steps between levels are almost invisible.

Caveat:  I don't have nVidia; I use ATI.  But if your display driver supports it the 30 Bit Display setting can work perfectly fine.  My system is stable.
