if is pretty hard to do using the clip tool because of curves. I guess you could have several parts and use the clip on each one of them one after the other or independently.
The other but way more time consuming would be to use canvas. It is even possible to use it in Animate - I have - but not for something so detailed.
If you want a sample, PM me and I will send you one. You would have to plot the x and y in the array for the points - big job - but the result should be pretty smooth.
I'd also like to make similar line animations (not as large as the PS4 animation though).
Would it be possible for you to send me a sample (edge animation project) where I could learn from?
Or is there a more simple way than the solution like Lazy Line Painter in Edge Animate to integrate with Edge?
Hope to hear from you!
Here is a sample:
It is however time consuming as you have to use the completed image to find ALL the coordinates of your path manually by placing a square every so often on the line and recording them to add them to the array.
Surely there is a better solution!
I have used flash and imported the technical line drawing (Illustrator), then broken down the illustration, moved it a lot of frames forward in time and then deleted parts of the illustration step by step - frame by frame backwards.
It works fine and looks like the line is being drawn. The downside is that it take a lot of time to delete more and more of the illustration as you go back to the start.
Looks nice! If that is done fast you win!
If you could get the coordinate of your drawing (if it is svg you should), then you could feed these numbers in the array.
