well i downloaded the NVIDIA driver which was suppose to help. the specs are 3.06GHz Intel Core i3 processor with 4MB level 3 cache; supports Hyper-Threading, 3.06GHz

An ATI card can not use an NVIDIA driver.
Trying to run CUDA (an NVIDIA-only technology) on an ATI card is only going to cause problems. Your card does not support acceleration of the 3d ray-tracing renderer. You should use Cinema4D for your 3d anyway. It's a much more powerful option and it's free with AE CC!
