I am debugging something
I am trying to get output from the window object using this code on the scroll action
var windowScroll = $(window).innerHeight();
the thing is it returns no value unless: the stage height is less then my monitor height and overflow is set to auto or scroll
it will not work in the scroll action unless all of these are met
If I put the code into compready....it will work in all circumstances
However...the value I am really after is window.pageYOffset.....which never returns any value in any circumstance.
Is there a way to access window.pageYoffset within a scroll action?
If i understand this correctly you want to know what the scroll position (pageYOffset) is for the window?
You should be able to do this with more easily with jQuerys scrollTop method. e.g.
$(window).scrollTop(); will returnt he current scroll position of the window.
Hope this helps
Yes this was the first thing I tried....has the same issues as pageYOffset
it will not give data unless my stage size is smaller then my monitor height...and only when overflow is set to scroll or auto
I was hoping window pageYOffset would fix this issue...
I need the value from either one of these, when stage height is say 3000px.....so far they both come back blank
Do you an example file that you can host somehwere?
