What gave you that idea?
The ease with which one can clip elements in a photograph and the most efficient techniques can vary considerably depending on lighting, structure, background etc. so if you want to get pertinent advice it might help to show the image in question.
The Quick Selection Tool or the Magic Wand Tool may or may not be good options in this case, the Pen Tool is another option, but one that would likely take some time.
