    what is replace footage for

    mark69

I'm trying to edit GoPro footage in Premiere Elements 11 and I'm ready to burn all of my stuff and take up knitting.

The footage off the SD card from the GoPro looks good.  I've tried converting it with Cinema Pro - which is GoPros program and then dropping it into Premiere Elements and I can't get it to work.

The problem is when I drop a clip into Premiere Elements 11 it looks jerky and blurred.  It just looks awful.

      What am I doing wrong?

      Thanks,

I am not quite sure how the title relates to the body of the thread, but....

          Replace Footage

Just happen to have written a blog post on that

          http://atr935.blogspot.com/2013/04/pe11-replace-footage.html

          On your other question

What are the properties of this GoPro footage that is actually being imported into Premiere Elements 11 (on what computer operating system?)

          Video Compression

          Audio Compression

          Frame Size

          Frame Rate

          Interlaced or Progressive

          File Extension

          Pixel Aspect Ratio

What is the project preset that you or the program is setting based on the properties of the the GoPro import?....should match.

What is your Timeline content going to be burned to

          DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc

          AVCHD format on DVD disc

Blu-ray Disc Format on Blu-ray Disk?

Please supply the details and we will work with you in sorting out the details so that you get the end product you want.

          Thank you.
