Where does your book file reside now? On a Mac in InDesign? On a PC in InDesign? What does your iPad have to do with your workflow?
I’m sorry, but I have no idea what you’re talking about. Please give us some details.
I am presuming that you wish to view the InDesign documment on an iPad?
A quick solution would be to save a PDF from InDesign and load the PDF onto an iPad which can be viewed via iBooks.
Hope this helps
To what script are you referring, and what does it have to do with your publisher printing your book? As for "InDesign / iPad compatability," I can think of a dozen forms of torture I'd rather endure than doing page layout on an iPad.
Sorry, guys. Maybe I should've explained more.
I wrote the book in Pages on my iPad and emailed each chapter to my publisher. Prior to the proof reading, my original document looked a mess but now the book has been published I'd like a clean copy on my iPad.
Lynx_Paul's idea might work. Any more suggestions please?
Okay, I'm a dummy. By "script," I thought you were referring to an InDesign plug-in. Lynx_Paul's suggestion will certainly work. Besides iBooks, there are a number of PDF readers available for the iPad that will let you read, annotate, and edit PDFs. I'm not sure whether you have images in your book, but PDF is the way to go. It will not reflow like an epub, in case that matters.
