I have a 200 family history book that was created in Pagemaker in 1997. The documents are shown as ps and will only open as pdf. Is there any way of getting the files back into Pagemaker or InDesign format so I don't have to scan to text and reformat every page? The file preview shows ps Adobe 3.0, Creator: Pagemaker 5.0, 1997, NSPostScriptPboardType.
Thanks for your help and suggestions.
The only way I know how to do it is to buy a copy of one of the third party plugins that can convert PDF to InDesign format.
One is called PDF2ID:
Thanks. It is a puzzle. Not sure where her Pagemaker files are but all the ps files are on her computer.
You should also be able to recover the text and images from a PDF using Acrobat Pro so you can rebuild from scratch, too, without having to buy a plugin.
