When I playback mp4 video in Organizer 12 I get no picture only sound

The video component in the file might require royalty activation. We would need to check that. Please download the free tool MediaInfo and drag drop this file on it. It will show you video and audio codecs required for this file's playback.

But I think screenshot of the Media Info window would atleast give us an idea of video decoder required and hence suffice.

Can you please check the location- C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Common\Adobe\ARA\12 and rename the file Repository2_0.db to say Repository2_0_old.db.

Launch Elements Organizer and then right click the video > Edit in Premiere Elements Editor.

A component activation prompt should apear.

Btw, on my machine (Windows 8), I have PSE + PRE (serialized) and I'm able to playback this video fine in Elements Organizer 12. (Attaching screenshot)

By serialize, I mean that the product is not in trial mode. I have entered the serial key in the Adobe Application Manager dialog which opens while launching PSE Editor or PRE Editor if application is still in trial mode.

- Please try installing Quicktime for windows and restart the machine once. See if this helps.

Anything new here? I've got the same problem with Windows 7 and PSE 12. Latest QuickTime installed. Windows Media Player plays them without problems.

Could it be the H263 codec?
