I use a rectangle named "video" for embed html5 video in document.compositionReady:
var vid = sym.$("video");
vid.html('<video id= "video1" style=" position: absolute;bottom: 0px; right: 0px; min-width: 100%; min-height: 100%; width: auto; height: auto; z-index: -1000; overflow: hidden" src= "video/sparks_fly_hd.mp4" type= "video/mp4" autoplay="autoplay" loop="loop" </video>');
But only works fine in Chrome, not in Safari, Firefox, or IE, why?
Video is playing in my Safari 7.0.2
Firefox throws 'mp4' is not supported error
An even IE I think might not be still supporting mp4 video
The latest version of Safari for Windows is 5.1.7, I only can check this version.
Doesn't work with Firefox 27.0.1 (latest version that not Aurora), IE 11.0.9600, Opera 20.0.1387, Safari 5.1.7, and Safari iOS 6.1.3
Only works fine with Chrome 33.0.1750 and Maxthon 188.8.131.52.
And it is assumed that the video tag is supported by all these HTML5 compatible browsers, is it maybe a codec problem?
From what I remember, you need to provide different file formats for HTML5 video. Firefox works with OGG format. There are a few converters out there. See this stack overflow for more info: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10488768/playing-mp4-files-in-firefox-using-html5-video
