Will it help to put an extra tank in your car and fill it with Kerosene, but not install the necessary turbo charger so it can actually be used? Your answer is there. Whether or not you wil lsee any advantage is very much subject to the specifics of your work. you can throw hundreds of dollars at expensivce hardware, but in the end it may not resolve anything if your workflow is crooked or for otehr reasons the expected performance boost doesn't materialize like the processor being too slow or the system not habving enough RAM to even begin to benefit from extensive transfer bandwidths. SSD drives latency is so low, you can put all media and cache files on them and the performance wont suffer. The mechanical drives have a latency in ms so you cant do that and maintain ideal performance without raid 0 often.
