Hello. My problem is similar in that I uninstalled a working PrE 8, and when I tried to reinstall, and enter the serial number, I get a message that tells me the serial number is invalid, although it has worked fine before.

What exactly is your problem with Premiere Elements 10? Please elaborate on "nothing happens".
a. You can install the program but double clicking the desktop icon does not open the program?
b. Something else?
Also, does your computer use a NVIDIA GeForce video card?
And, what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on?
What is your antivirus program...McAfee or other?
Let us start here and then decide what next.
Problems with the same symptoms can (often do) have different causes.
I would modify John's comments to you in the following way....
You are not going to get any help from Adobe if you present as an user seeking troubleshooting assistance. It does not accept what it considers troubleshooting issues when you do not have the current version, 12.
But, Adobe does help users regardless of the version when product activation issue exists (they have to date).
So, when you click on the following link, click on the "I still need help" statement to bring up the Adobe Chat. But be sure that you have selected to topic for discussion "Serial Number Issues, or Activating My Product".
