Where is my text?
The whole flash animation can be seen OK, however the text is gone. If I play the swf file on my computer separately I can see the whole animation, but once I have imported it onto AE, I can see most of the animation except the text.
I created my flash file and added text to it and the I published. There must be something I am not doing right. Maybe an export setting?
Thanks for your help
from After Effects Help:
SWF files are imported with an alpha channel. Audio is not retained. Interactive content and scripted animation are not retained. Animation defined by keyframes in the main, top-level movie is retained."
Thank you. I got it. It was because the text was inside a nested animation.
I had to take it out of the nested animation and incorporate it on the main timeline. Then, AE could pick it up.
I wish I had known before creating the animation, but it's a learn as you go business..
