Last week our system experienced some outages, is it possible that your user was submitting the middle of last week? Are you still seeing this problem? Is this a form that you have enabled form saving? Is this a PDF form? Any additional information about the workflow that the user is trying that fails will help us in diagnosing the problem.
I just had the same problem today. Our form is quite lengthy and I wonder if this is a limitation of the software? Our end-user completed form, hit submit and nothing happened. We have not received the information yet, and neither they nor we received the confirmation email. Is it possible that there could be too much data in a form?
Sorry to hear that you are having those same problems. Our form was quite long (10 pp) and I don't think that is the issue. I did find out later that there are some software compatibilities that are important.
First, users need to have Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader on their computer. This appears to be essential as told to me by our IT office.
Second, several of the problems were resolved by using a browser other than Internet Exploder on the PC.
Of course, I only worked this out after the submission deadline, but at least I know better now. Hope this helps,
Just to clarify. If your form is a PDF form then that is correct that the filler MUST use Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader mobile as third party PDF viewer don't implement the full PDF spec when it comes to form.
If you distribute the web link then the fillers don't need Acrobat nor Reader to fill out the form.
You might want to send you form link to firstname.lastname@example.org if you want us to look at your form. Please describe you issue or refer to this post in your email.
