It seems that your aim to create an EPUB file from a Word document.
Yet from your description, you sound very new to InDesign. It's not a good idea to try to start your kind of project without spending some time (1) learning the way InDesign works, and (2) learning how InDesign exports EPUB. Both of these are deep subjects, and to ask random questions as they come is a lot of flailing around.
Why don't you investigate exporting EPUB from the Word document instead. You'll gain no advantage from exporting from InDesign.
Look at this eBook by Liz Castro—EPUB Straight to the Point—on creating EPUB where she discusses both export from Word and from InDesign:
Hi. Thanks for the reply.
I found this helpful video by Kelly McCatherin
She demonstrates 3 ways to import and modify which settings are used when you PLACE you document from word.
Since no one has been able to provide a LIST to use for cross referrer ending
Here is a related question.
If I choose a FONT in word .... That is NOT available in InDesign CC
What issues will I run into ??
Can modify something in preferences to Accept The font.
I have an AppleGothic for a few symbols.
And can someone explain further EMBEDDED FONTS.
How DO these embedded fonts come into place if someone creates an ebook that dynamically resizes for ANY device.
and I chose embed fonts
, does this Allow For My Document to use this fonts ?
I am not new to Indesign. I created an ePub in 2010 with Indesign CS5.
Now I have Indesign cc and things have changed and I am rusty.
