EntireText Visible on export; invisible in InDesignCC

I placed a Word Document into InDesign CC so that I could create an ebook.

I edited the paragraph styles INSIDE. AOF inDesign and began to apply them thoughout.

When I got to the end of the file -pages inside of InDesign, my document was truncated.... It was missing the last 50 pages and there was NOT an Overset error.

I held the shift down when I did the Place.

BUT when I Export  this Same document - the entire Document IS VISIBLE in adobe digits editions.

      I am confused.

Also, I read many discussion posts and suggestions about:

      Retaining formatting.

      Options such as:

      Generaten CSS

      Preserve local overrides

      Include embedded fonts.

AGAIN.... Confusion and even the posts discuss this confusion from others.

I have modified all of my STYLES in my word document Inside of the Word Application.

I chose fonts that are readily available in InDesign CC.

I want to PLACE my complete Document and carry over all of these STYLES from word.

Then from InDesign, I will modify a few things.

Can someone provide the BEST STRATEGY to carry over STYLES from my

      Word Document.

I am unclear about those listed options above and the end result of each option.

Note: I do NOT have any italic or bold text   ! !
