#2 has WHY Explained http://forums.adobe.com/thread/607390
3rd, have Premiere Elements create a DVD folder and use Imgburn to burn the folder to disc
Read http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1322583 for notes on installing Imgburn WITHOUT any toolbar add-ons
If #3 works, you "most likely" have the problem described in #2
The Elements Tutorial Links Page http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1275830 may also help
Thank you, sir; much appreciated.
If you are dealing with a DVD burner, could consider refreshing the DVD drivers.
There is no guarantees that any particular burner will be recognized by Premiere Elements. There are many unexplained
why for Premiere Elements "does not recognize burner" as well as "media not present" in the burn dialog.
Is the following the list that you found for devices supported by Premiere Elements?
Best advise would be to buy within your budget and make sure that you have a money back guarantee from the place of
purchase of the burner. More than likely there will be no problems, but as I said no guarantees.
Also, please download and install the Premiere Elements 12.1 Update via an opened project's Help Menu/Update and determine
if that has any impact on the DVD burner situation.
As per the usual troubleshooting on these matters, can you burn to folder Folder (4.7 GB) even though you cannot burn to disc
Thanks for responding. Yes, I can burn to the 4.7 folder, and yes, the list
you sent is the one I have. As far as I can tell, they're all 6-76 years
old, and mostly available as used.
In addition to what you sent I have some other things to try; I'll have to
see if anything works.
Thanks for the follow up.
That refreshing of the DVD drivers worked for another user a month or so. Hoping that it will work for you with your DVD burner situation.
We will be watching for furthe developments.
