I created a document for work that is one long page, 800 px by 4000 px. This was a document that grew as it was assembled, and I would regularly change the page size using document setup to lengthen the page so I could make room for the additional content.
Now I am trying to shrink the length of the page, because we removed a section of the content. I need to change the page size from 4000 px long to 3380 px long. I go to Document Setup, type in the new page size, click OK and nothing happens. I tried resizing the page to 6000 px, and nothing happens. I tried resizing the page to 2000 px, and nothing happens.
Did I somehow lock the page size? I can't seem to figure this one out, and the Adobe tech support rep (in India) understood less about the problem than I did.
HELP!!!! I have a deadline here...
I'm on a brand new iMac running OS 10.8.5; InDesign CS6 (8.0.1)
In InDesign CS6, you should choose the Page tool (3rd tool from the top) to change the page size.
Steve, give yourself a hug from me. Thank you!
Page size is now changed, just have to reposition the content...unless there's an automatic way to have the current content reposition to be centered (top-bottom) within the newly-sized page?
Make sure all the pages are selected in the Pages panel. With the Page tool selected, under Liquid Layout Rule, select Re-center.
