CS4 is from LONG before the Cloud
Lost serial # http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html tells you where to look for your original serial number
There is no way that I know of to get a new CS4 serial number... that program is simply too old
Thanks for your reply. I have the original S/N, box, and CD. Just can't load the software on a new laptop.
In the original post you asked about another security code. I don't think anyone knows what you mean by that. Most regulars here interpret that as wanting a new serial number, hence the response you got.
If all you want is to re-download the CS4 installation files then you can download it from
Follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first BEFORE you click the download links.
Install then enter your serial number.
If you have the original disc and serial number... WHY can't you install the software... exactly what error message do you get when you try?
Sorry if I used the wrong terms.
Cs4 allowed you to install on upto 2 machines. I installed on a desktop which I no longer have and a laptop which is now a paper weight. I was told by a computer repair service that I would need to give Adobe my Dell service tag number (serial number) and the original Ps serial number so they could basically cancel the Ps on my laptop and issue another SN.
OK... you do need to contact Adobe to have your activation count reset... which does not give you a new serial number
