I tried to reset photoshop with keyboard shortcuts preferences,
Seems odd that such a problem would crop up on its own. That kind of sounds like a registry or permissions problem. What other things did you do with the computer between the time it worked and it didn't?
And if you're willing to uninstall / reinstall to try to recover operation, it might be prudent to try the Adobe cleaner tool to really be sure you've uninstalled everything...

JJMack Mar 14, 2014 9:36 AM (in response to lola.marceau)On a windows system you can rename or delete your userid Photoshop Preference folder. Then start Photoshop and it will create a new folder with Adobe default preferences for your user id.

Curt Y Mar 14, 2014 9:44 AM (in response to lola.marceau)Resetting preferences is a tricky operation and reqires perfect timing. Start PS and immediately hold down option/alt/shift keys. If fast enough you will get a reset window.

the_wine_snob Mar 14, 2014 10:05 AM (in response to lola.marceau)I looked over the thread, but did not see one thing, that might be important: what version of Photoshop are you using? [I might have missed that, and if so, apologize.]
Normally, if the Ps Preferences File is not present, Ps just creates a new one - essentially what should happen during the Preferences Reset.
Good luck,

If that didn't work, consider reinstalling the operating system on your computer.
