    CS6 How do I create a cast shadow for an animal i pasted into a background

      I copyed a photo of an animal into a PS6 lanscape sceen and can't figure out how to add a cast shadow or any shadows for that matter to make it look realistic.  Can someone help please

          Absolutely more than one way to do this. This is only one - I am sure that others will come up with more.

           

          You say you have copied the animal into another photo so I assume that you have the animal on its own layer with a transparent background on the layer.

           

          Duplicate that layer (Ctrl + J will do it - or CMD + J on the Mac)

          Next desaturate the duplicated layer

          Then enter Free Transform mode (Ctrl + T) on that layer

          Either manually distort the desaturated layer by clicking on the corner and holding down Ctrl and dragging the desaturated image until it looks to be right. You can also try a perspective transform by right clicking on the desaturated image (after entering free transform mode) and selecting perspective from the menu.

          Then reduce the opacity of the layer - again until it looks right.

          Finally add a Gausian blur to the shadow
