[Moved to the Premeire Elements forum.]
Welcome to the PrE forum, and thanks to Jim for Moving it here.
As of PrE 7, the outputting of a file from the Timeline has moved. It is now either Share, or Publish+Share, depending on which version you are using.
- What version of PrE are you using?
- What OS version are you running it on?
When you go to either the Share, or Publish+Share (PrE 11 & 12), you might need to scroll down in the Panel, to see the output settings that you need. The scroll bar is not easy to see, but look closely to the far-right of the Panel, and scroll down, as is needed.
The prime necessary information is
a. What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is running?
b. What do you want to export your video to....a file saved to the computer hard drive or disc from burn to DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, AVCHD format on DVD disc, or Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc?
If you are working with Premiere Elements 11 or 12, the area for export is named Publish+Share/ and the basic categories look like
If you are working in an earlier version of Premiere Elements, like version 10, the export area is named Share and the basic categories look like
When you get to a category of Computer in the first or second case, there are several subcategories. Typically only the top ones can be seen. To get to the rest, click on the first which is Adobe Flash Video and then use the computer keyboard arrows keys to go down and up the whole list.
The choices that you make under the subcategories of Publish+Share or Share can impact on the end product that you get.
So, if you are not familiar on what choices to make, supply the details requested and we will customize an answer for you to work with.
We will be watching for your reply.
Add On...If you are familiar with Premiere Elements 7 and its File Menu/Export/Movie feature, please be advised that the feature was discontinued by Adobe after Premiere Elements 7.
