Using the Adobe CS4 suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), can you eliminate a "ghost" square that keeps printing on a document with a round Placed image? I know this is a problem with the background. None of the answers I've found here work, so far. I've tried to Cut the round image out, and save it in a new image with a Transparent background. I've tried to match the background in Photoshop with the background in InDesign. I've edited the Transparency Flattener Presets, and fought with the printer settings (an HP 5550). It's all been to no avail... the backgrounds just keep on printing.
Any clues or suggestions would be helpful.
Most likely it's "yucky discolored box" syndrome which is a problem in the way the printer processes vector and raster content differently. See InDesignSecrets » Blog Archive » Eliminating YDB (Yucky Discolored Box) Syndrome
By God, it worked! I tried this before, but I must have done something wrong.
Thank you! This helps with a problem I've been struggling with for years!
