With which program do you open the PDF?
Which version of InDesign? OS?
Hello, thanks for you interest.
I am opening with Adobe PDF Pro / or just the Preview in OSX Mavericks.
InDesign CC Updated to the latest version.
There exists nothing like Adobe PDF Pro, do you mean Adobe Acrobat Pro?
Preview is not a good way to check PDFs because it does not support the full spectrum of PDF functionality. Avoid Apple's Preview as far as you can, run away from it.
Did you turn on overprint preview in Acrobat pro?
Did you simulate paper color?
How did you export or create the PDF?
This view is familiar to me ;-)
It happens, if "Show transparency grid" is checked in the preferences of Acrobat Pro plus the "Output Preview" Panel is showing.
Without opening "Output Preview" Panel in Acrobat Pro:
Same view with open "Output Preview" Panel in Acrobat Pro:
Nothing unusual here. Your page contents is alright…
You could set "Set Page Background Color" to "White" in the "Output Preview" Panel of Acrobat Pro:
Thanks again Willi,
Adobe Acrobat Pro indeed.
Even there the "problem" still exists though. (preview from the Acrobat, where the dots are the missing pages)
I am pretty sure this happened inside InDesign and might be just a case of some sort of option that needs to be turned on / off?
I mean since I see it on the preview of the document while working on it, it is most likely not an issue of export.
Mmm.. seems exactly as my "problem". But unfortunately my preview is from InDesign, meaning that the pages look "transparent" in the InDesign document.
When the ones that have this problem (just random pages inside the document) are the ones that when I print to PDF don't show up afterwards.
It must be some sort of thing I did or changed in the InDesign properties that has destroyed these certain pages..
