I though Adobe Creative Cloud was to avoid being out-of-date, but a client sent me a file I cannot open. I have had CC since its inception, and i get billed regularly
Have you installed CC? Have you run the 9.2 update? There is no 7.2.
Sounds like you have CS6 as part of an original cloud subscription. Download and install the CC Desktop Application and it will show you what all is now available.
