Rule of thumb for transparent background images in magazine printing?

      Hello everyone,

I'm designing a single page to be printed in a magazine, and I would like to include a background image which will go behind plain black text in a two-column format. I know that things do not always look the same laser-printed on copy paper, so I was wondering if there was a general rule of thumb for what % to set the transparency at for a high-res background image for the more glossy magazine printing. Currently, I have it set to 15% and it looks pretty good just on regular paper out of my laser printer, but I would like to be sure. Oh, and I am using Adobe InDesign cs4.
