What is the image’s resolution (Image > Image Size) and what was it for the images edited in CS2? (edited)
Out of curiosity: What do you do with the images in Corel Draw?
Edit. I have read about Painter’s superiority in emulating painting for example but so far I can’t remember having come across anyone mentioning that Corel Draw is superior to Photoshop in some aspect/s.
Resolution in both CS2 & CS6 was 266 ppi
I use CorelDRAW to add a line frame, copyright detail and titles where necessary. I also use it a lot to add info boxes etc for "How To" tutes I also use it to Save for the web using "Publish to web/web image optimizer" So much easier that using PS.
Sorry, I had missed that you mentioned the resolution in the original post.
What are the pixel dimensions on both cases?
What file formats do you use?
When working in both I use JPEG and the pixel dims are; 2122 X 1670 in both cases!
Just to make sure: it’s ppi and not ppcm for both images?
Otherwise I suspect the issue my not with Photoshop.
The resolution is PPI and always has been. I still have CS2 loaded on my copmputer because CS6 won't run my Epson V330 Photo Scanner so I have to use CS2 for that! The same image at the same time imports differently...........it's a damn newsance
