You haven't given us much information about what you rendered out of AE.
I always recommend rendering an intermediate codec out of After Effects (Cineform, DNxHD, Quicktime with the PhotoJPEG codec, etc.) and then taking that intermediate file into the Adobe Media Encoder to create your final piece. The Adobe Media Encoder even has YouTube presets.
He means youtube transformed his video color from PCrange to TVrange, which turns the "black" to "gray" just like freshly installed Nvidia driver's problem, and actually I'm having the same problem too lol, any solutions?
And finally I've found where my problem is, it's not a converting error but my Nvidia settings. Go to Nvidia control panel, then under Video select Adjust video color settings, Click the button for With the NVIDIA settings then select the Advanced tab, finally select that (0~255) thing and here you go:)
