some text on every new page in document

    naveenau

      Hi,

I am new to Indesign and java scripting, what i need is

how to place some text in the begining of every page in a document?

If the page begins with a table how to identify it? and how to add content into that table?

I will be glad if anyone points me to right resources.

I am using indesign 9.2 and estk 4.0.0.1

@naveenau – this part is a bit unclear.
A page can have no, one or several text frames. Containing no, one table or a part of a table.

The definition of "begins" is the real problem.

          What does this exactly mean?
If you can answer this, we can make some progress in helping you ;-)

          Further we need clarification on:

          add content into that table?

What exactly do you mean by "content"?
A new table row? Just some new, formatted text inside a specific table cell?

Does that "content" already exist somewhere?

Should it be generated from scratch?

Could it happen that tables will flow from page to page through threaded text frames?

Sorry for not clarifying in previous post.

I need to add static text at the start of every page(text say "Hello .." must be the first text in every page of a document).

If the document contains a table that is spanned across multiple pages (more than 2 pages) then in those pages also the text Hello.. must be displayed as part of the table by adding one more row (first row in table in this page) with colspan w.r.to. no of columns in the table.

content is a static formatted text (say "hello x")

Could it happen that tables will flow from page to page through threaded text frames?

yes it is possible that tables can flow to more than one page.
