> We're running SwitchResX
What happens when you don't use that?
That happens when After Effects can't use the OpenGL features for transferring pixels to the screen. Before now, I have only seen this on computers that had very limited OpenGL capabilities or on computers using an Intel HD Graphics chip with an older version of After Effects.
You have something interfering with OpenGL.Since I've not heard of anyone else having this problem on one of the new Mac Pro computers, I'm guessing that the extra software that you have installed is what is interfering.
First, make sure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Then, try uninstalling SwitchResX, not just turning it off.
Are you certain about the version of After Effects that you're running?
I saw that the OpenGL was disabled in preferences/preview.
Uninstalled SwitchResX (which had gone into try-out-mode)
Glad you got it working.
Hello - i am having the same problem in both AE CC and AE CC2014...***BOTH VERSIONS OF AE are fully updated
It was working fine last week, although ive had this problem once or twice before - but it has never lasted this long. In the past, i seem to remember just restarting my computer.
I too had installed SwitchRes X recently, so i thought that might be the problem - but ive uninstalled the software, and removed the prefpane in my system settings.
Also, Ive just installed the CUDA 6.5.46 update - yet in CC2014, it is not showing up in the Pref/Previews - it is showing up in AECC, but having the same RAM preview problems
