What exact version of After Effects are you using?

          What is your driver number?

What is the CUDA driver number?

Where are you seeing After Effects telling you that it's not compatible?

          What are your system specs?

What are you using the GPU for? Unless you're using the (outdated) ray-traced 3d renderer or some third-party plugin, AE doesn't really use the GPU at all. See this.

Where do you see information telling you that for your version of After Effects?

                edit preferences previews  gpu info

also the mercury playback engin in prem pro  is greyed out

all the aproved gtx cards listed on adobe web site are old and out of date nvidia

                gtx 780 is not listed

The GTX 780 is listed for After Effects CC.

You say that the list is out of date, but consider that you're asking about an older version of After Effects, After Effects CS6.

No, that is not correct. Give me the link to the page that you say lists this card as approved for the CS6 version of the software.

That GPU is not supported for the version of After Effects that you are using. It is supported for After Effects CC. Same for Premiere Pro CC. Not CS6.

I will not assist you in hacking anything.
