I have been using InDesign CS6 with Windows 8 for over a year, and today when I opened the program and attempted to open one of the recent files I got this error message:
"Either the file does not exist, you do not have permission, or the file may be in use by another application"
I did not do any udpates, or anything differently than I have been when saving, etc. but I cannot seem to open any of the files i had previously saved with this program. I have tried everthing I can think of, including a reset but still no luck. Any suggestions?
Usual troubleshooting might be to delete any .lck files in the document's folder (if there are any) or to reset InD prefs.
Besides that, sometimes on-access virus scan can make a file busy for a short period of time after selecting a file.
