Weird problem.
Win7 x64, latest and greatest PS CC. Only recently, I'm getting a weird crash, usually while working with a large file, and trying to zoom in via the magnifying lens.
What happens is the image does not zoom. And the image gets this weird red overlay. Blocky.
I tried updating my Nvidia drivers to solve the problem, but I still get the crashes. Not all the time.

That looks like part of the image you uploaded to another thread, but with a red overlay, so yes it does look video driver related. If you are sure you have the most up to date driver try changing the GPU settings in Preferences > Performance.

Actually, I was working on getting that look last night, so I guess if it looked similar to your eye, i may be close:-)
What was weird is the problen occured in the last two weeks and my video drivers/Photoshop CC have not been updated since Jan?
Only that re Blocking is the crash. I can't save. Have to force quit. Will try changing the prefs, but its not 100% reproducable. But usually when working a large pano then trying to zoom in with the magnifier.
Oh well.
Luckily I have CS6
