Once your program downloads and installs with no errors, you need the program forum
If you start at the Forums Index http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use
Click the "down arrow" symbol on the right (where it says ALL FORUMS) to open the drop down list and scroll
I just had the same problem and was stumped for a few hours. Just duplicated the file and renamed it and it opens fine.
SO, rename the file and it should open as always. Wonderful that the only thing John T Smith could do was to point his finger somewhere else instead of helping you with the question.
He is probably one of those support people that has '10 steps to helping someone' pasted on the wall in front of him and can not go beyond to #11 ...
I have the same problem, but I am unable to open or move the file, even after naming. I'm currently in panic mode trying to save my 84 page document.
Sorry, my reply was not exactly perfect. Duplicate the file and open the resulting file. I did not have success renaming the duplicated file back to the original name. There is some internal database that tracks file names that are in the open state.But, the duplicated file, named anything else including any suffix (default when duplication is COPY). Hope that helps you.
I am able to rename the file, but I can not move, duplicate, or open the file. I created a new discussion for my problem here: Locked out of InDesign file on network server: Cannot open, move, or duplicate file
